Lucozade Sport Launches FitCoach for iPhone

There are numerous apps that claim to help you manage and monitor your exercise and keep-fit routine using your iPhone, though few of the free ones have really been worth bothering with to date. That all changes with this latest effort from the glucose-heavy pop makers at Lucozade Sport, because FitCoach is a pretty good stab at providing a free personal trainer on your smartphone.

Willpower is, unfortunately, something that you will have to provide yourself. But if you are committed to staying fit and sticking to a plan, then this app is worth a look.

If you have made the decision to try to lose some weight, tone up your abs or just improve your overall fitness levels, then FitCoach will work out a personalized eight-week plan to help you get the best out of your diet and your exercise regime.

The exercise plans the app gives you are put together drawing on the expertise of FitPro, which is described as “the largest and most respected association for fitness industry professionals in the world,” and the dietary advice is provided by the Lucozade Sport Science Team of nutritional experts.

If you need a detailed example of how your workout should proceed, then there are plenty of demo videos with easy-to-follow instructions, which any ‘gym rat’ can follow.

FitCoach is available for download here.
