LOT'S OF EXCITEMENT EXPECTED @ WBA
HOOPLA
BASKETBALL FANS in western Jamaica will be in for a special treat on
Sunday May 6th, 2007 when the Western Basketball Association (WBA)
stages its annual Mid Season Final dubbed 'WBA HOOPLA',
featuring a clash between the two top teams midway the Lucozade
Sport Men's Basketball Championship at the Montego
Bay Cricket
Club court starting at 5:00 p.m.
"This is a event that should be chock-full of excitement as the two
best teams will face-off for braggin' rights and other on the spot
prizes. This year we will improve the event by adding several new
features such as the 2ball, 3-point shootout and Slam Dunk
contests," said Khurt Comrie, the public relations officer for the
WBA. He commented further to say that "the inclusion of these
featured events provides an opportunity for the players to have fun
while not forgetting the basic fundamentals of basketball."
