Seton Hall Slips By Louisville
Newark,
NJ (01-22-2009): Seton Hall University held off a late
rally
from University of Louisville to deny the Cardinals
their 1,600th win in school history last night in a Big
East Conference showdown.
Sophomore center Samardo Samuels was held to nine points
and six rebounds as Seton Hall held on to hand
Louisville its third loss in a row, the longest such
streak since the 2005-06 season. The defeat dropped the
once nationally-ranked Cardinals to 12-7 overall and 3-3
in the Big East.
Things will get no easier as they return home to face
University of
Cincinnati on Sunday at noon.
