SIX WBA TEAMS TO
START BUSY 2008 BASKETBALL CAMPAIGN
Kingston, Jamaica - Just as the holiday
season approaches, so will the start of the Jamaica
Public
 Service
(JPS) sponsored All-Island Parish League. Organizers
announced that Saturday, Jan 5th, 2008 is the date set
for the resumption of this league. Teams taking part
should have already reviewed the
rules
governing this national tournament. More info will be
posted as soon as they become available.
The following are the names of the WBA:
a) Central Flames
b) Hoopers
c) Railway Cubs
d) Sav Hawks
e) United Brothers
National Basketball
League Qualifying Playoffs
 Teams vying for the two available spots for the most
prestigious basketball competition on the national
basketball calendar should be well advance in their
training as the the Jamaica Basketball Association
released the
date:
Sunday, Jan 6th, 2008. Fixtures will be made available
as soon as our office receives them.
Western Jamaica should be rooting for current Men's
Basketball Championship winners Catherine Hall All-Stars
and finalist Sav Hawks in their national sojourn.
