Andre Smith followed with 18 points and Kimani Ffriend with 11. Christopher Walker was the top-scorer for the NBL select team with 18 points.

The game drew the curtains in the team's one-week training camp in preparation for the June 30 to July 4 Caricom Basketball Championship (CBC) in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

Team Jamaica also defeated the NBL side, 96-57, in the first game at the same venue on Tuesday.

Head coach Sam Vincent said Friday's game was a good chance to see where the team was.

"I thought the guys played well, they played hard. And it was great to get these games to see where we were. I now think we're ready for the tournament so we're going to take off and see what happens," he stated, adding that he was especially happy with the team's execution in defence and offence.

"I like my team right now... I got good inside play, I got good guard play and I believe the team is very sharpe. The team we played was a very competitive team but I'm sure we'll see more competition there (CBC), but as long as we come out and take care of business we'll be fine," he said.

Samuels, who carries most of the team's hope, stole the spotlight with his presence at both ends of the court. But there were also impressive displays from Smith, Chaz Carr, Garfield Ricky Johns, Ffriend and Ortiseweyinmi Efejuku.

Team Jamaican will face Trinidad & Tobago in their opening game on Tuesday.
