NBA/NFL Celebrity Sports Camps
Fun, Sun, Celebrity and Games: The RuJohn
Foundation’s Celebrity Sports Camp
Coral Springs, Florida USA (June 20, 2007),
- Sport and
festivity will abound as the RuJohn Foundation’s Annual
Celebrity Sports Camp returns to Jamaica, West Indies on
June 23 - 30, 2007.
This 7-day event merges celebrity
and community in an attempt to encourage solid
citizenship amongst Jamaica’s youth. Professional
athletes representing the NFL and NBA are paired with
their youngest fans, Jamaica’s impressionable youth, for
a fun and inspirational week.
The sports camp roster of events includes a myriad of
activities aimed at promoting academic achievement
through sportsmanship. Athletes participating in the
camp include former and current NBA players Tim James,
Delonte West, and Andray Blatche and NFL players Touraj
(T.J.) Houshmandzadeh, Omar Gaither, Rudi Johnson and
Shaun Smith. The event schedule is as follows:
June 24 (7:00pm) Press Conference – Courtleigh Hotel, Kingston
June 25 (2:30pm) Stadium East, Kingston
June 27 (11:00am) Kool Runnings Water Park, Negril
June 28 (10:00am) Jarrett Park, Montego Bay
June 29 (9:30am) Dunn’s River Falls

About the RuJohn Foundation
The RuJohn Foundation is a South Florida based 501-C3
non-profit organization founded by siblings Andrew and
Christina Bachelor to commemorate the philanthropic
ideals of their grandparents, Ruth and John Tulloch. The
foundation has facilitated numerous community programs
for Jamaican youth including donating post-hurricane
necessities, school supplies and celebrity sports camps.
Under the direction of Andrew and Christina’s
leadership, the foundation is committed to giving back
to their roots while assisting Jamaican children.
