  Tornadoes scoop out close win over Lions

Bay City Lions 38 Trelawny Tornadoes 45
Huntley Dehaney's double-double paced the Trelawny Tornadoes with 18 points and a season record of 21 rebounds to a gutsy 45-38 win Saturday night in the Western Basketball Association's (WBA) Men's Basketball D-League over the Bay City Lions. Orville Ennis was the other Tornadoes player in double figures scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Both teams were equally matched and were competitive from the very first whistle and by the end of the first quarter they were locked at 8 a piece. By half-time, it was Trelawny who had a slim one point advantage (19-18) Lions made costly turnovers which affected them for the remainder of the game, managing to only scoring 10 points each in quarters three and four, while the Tornadoes made 14 and 12 respectively.

Bay City's Rohan Brown again top-scored for his team with 17 points and four steals. Veteran guard/forward Floyd "Lloydie" Dixon finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds and snatching six steals.
