  Tornadoes toss lowly Spartans aside

Trelawny Tornadoes 41 Marchtown Spartans 27
Tornadoes' Fitzroy Gordon and Orville Ennis lead the way for Trelawny with 10 points on the night along with nine rebounds respectively; while Huntley Dehaney grabbed a game-high 13 boards to go with his 7 points and three block shots performance.

The low scoring game on Saturday evening suited the Tornadoes defensive sets and the Marchtown Spartans did not carry enough artillery to hamper their opponents. The Spartans went scoreless in the first quarter while the Tornadoes made 8. It was much of the same in the second, Spartans gave up 14 points while only scoring two.

After the halftime break and trailing by 20-points, the Spartans pummeled the Tornadoes 15-1 to get within six points (23-17) only to have their opponents widen the margin in the final quarter and wining the game 41-27.

Marchtown was led in scoring by Garfield Johnson's 10 points.
