Knights win hard fought battle with Lions

City Knights 64 Bay City Lions 55
In game two on Saturday night, Gavin Brown paced the City Knights with 17 points and Lemar Mitchell scoring 16. Omroy Kerr was the only other Knights' player in double-figures with 12 points and 7 rebounds; which boosted the Knights' impregnable record to their sixth straight victory from as many games.

It were the Bay City Lions who were the aggressors early, winning the first term 18-8, and by half-time held a 29-23 lead. This lead was quickly diminished by a seemingly more focused Knights in the third term as they snipped Lions' lead down to only two (41-39). Both teams provided a thrilling and exciting final term but when the dust settled the winners found themselves wounding the Lions 25-14 and setting up a 64-55 win.

Lions found three players in double-figures too, Don Cameron and Garfield Brown finished with 15 points each, Brown also secured his first double-double of the season with 12 boards and four steals. Team captain Floyd Dixon chipped in with 11.
