Round Two
J-Hawks
Overpowers Rangers
 Sav-La-Mar
J-Hawks has overcome the disappointment of last week’s
loss with a return to the winner’s board, downing a
spirited Negril Power Rangers outfit by 7 points as
action continued in the 2008 Fruta/Oasis Purified
Water Men's Development League at the Negril
Community Centre.
The Power Rangers battled hard all night to keep
themselves in the game, almost drawing level by
half-time, taking over the lead at the final change but
a 12-point final term rampage by the J-Hawks saw them
break clear to win comfortably.
As usual, schoolboy Richard Chambers of Mannings
top scored with (36 points)
and Androy Clarke (10 points) were right in the
thick of things for Sav-La-Mar.
While there were also a number of contributors for Sav-La-Mar,
Wayne Clarke (17 points) and Goshen Hylton
(11 points) made it count on the scoreboard, but they
simply could not keep pace in the final term as J-Hawks
pummeled them 21-9 to win the game 61-54.
