  Tigers maul Jnr. Avalanche

Following the Warriors and Flames match on Saturday, the Innercity Jnr. Avalanche went up against the Railway Tigers, in an attempt to pick up their first victory of the season. It was a tough task but it was one they now they have to take so as to prove their stay in the Lucozade Sport MBC.

Jnr. Avalanche shot out of the gate with a 14 point first quarter, hitting shots from all over from as many attempts. Much like other weeks, the Tigers were able to stick with their opposition early, and outscored them 25-12 in the second term to take 36-26 lead by halftime.

In the third term Jnr. Avs’ scoring dried up and the Tigers finished the quarter out scoring them 16-10 to comfortably take a 16 point lead into the final quarter (52-36).

Both teams accounted for the highest scoring total in a single quarter this season, amassing 51 total points! Jnr. Avalanche scored 31 points but were unable to recover in the last from the damage already done.

Detroy Jewery led the way for Tigers with 17 points, while Anthony Christie added 13 and Caustant Holness 12. Innercity Avalanche was led by Micky Haughton's 32 points, Coach/player Galton Taylor made 13 while Rushane Grey chipped in with 10 points and four boards.
