LUCOZADE SPORT BOOSTS WBA'S TOP
MEN'S LEAGUE
 GlaxoSmithKline
through their Lucozade Sport brand has recommitted to
remain title sponsors for Western Jamaica's biggest
basketball showcase aptly renamed the Men's
Basketball Championship (MBC). February 24, 2007 is
the date set for teams vying for the coveted Lucozade
Sport Champions Trophy and cash incentives. Last season
GlaxoSmithKline sponsored the league to a tune of
$150,000 in cash and cases of Lucozade Sport and Hydro
Active Fitness Water for the players.
Last season only six (6) teams entered. This season due
to growth, that number has increased by two (2). All
eight (8) teams slated to participate in the 2007 season
have since been notified of the changes and new
requirements necessary for their admission.
The teams are as follows:
Sav-La-Mar Hawks (2006 D1 Champions)
Hoopers (2006 Runner-ups)
Inner-city Avalanche
Glendevon Snipers
Hopewell Cobras
Rainbow Storms
Lane Tigers (2006 D2 Champions)
Catherine Hall All-Stars (2006 D2 Runner-ups)
