Flames and Pistons earn wins in JPS League
The
Eastern Pistons representing Kingston electrocuted Morant
Bay of St. Thomas 87 volts to 51 volts following the opening
ceremony. Pistons' Norman Dean plugged in 16 volts
for the winners and Andrew Gouldbourne 13 for the
losers.
In the day's second game, Meadows All Stars out of St.
Catherine are pondering their shocking defeat at the hands
of Seaview Flames repping for the parish of St. Andrew 46-43
in an electrifying thriller. Michael Carnagie
connected with 16 for Seaview while Christopher Jennings
led Meadows with 13.
The league will continue this weekend with games being
played at the Waterhouse Mini Stadium in St Andrew, the Nain
Community Center in Manchester and at the Mobay Cricket Club
Multipurpose court in St James all games starting at 3:30
pm.

JPS league was launched in 2004, successfully contributing
to the development of the potential of the youth in
communities across the island.
