COACHING STAFF

Douglas Reid has been training and coaching basketball players for 24 years. His first team, the Hopewell Cobras went to the WBA Men's Open League finals in their first year of participation in 1985. He remained their coach from 1985 - 1998. He had an extended hiatus and when he returned to Jamaica in 2006 he once again went back to coaching, again with the Cobras. He was approached by the Hoopers club in 2007 to assume the coaching position. Success quickly followed as he guided them to their first Men's Basketball Championship in 2008 and promotion to the National Basketball League (NBL) the following year.
