The Montego Bay
Cricket Club court will be buzzing with both men's and women's bball action this
weekend. On Friday, third-placed Naldi Lady Knights will be aiming to stay ahead
of the fourth-placed Mobay Pacers when they meet at 6:30pm. Lady
Knights'
Shadian Hemmings have arisen from her slumber and is expected to be a handful
for the Pacers' defense.
On Sunday the Mobay Pacers again take to the court at 4:30pm, this time they
will challenge the Innercity Lady Avalanche. The latter will be trying to inch
closer to the league leaders Unique Ballers should they be victorious over the
Pacers.
Meanwhile, the Men's D-League continues on Saturday with two games at the same
venue where league leaders City Knights will go up against Bay City Lions in the
first encounter at 5:00pm followed by the Trelawny Tornadoes, March Town
Spartans matchup at 6:30pm.
After succumbing 65-63 loss to the Lions last week, the revenge-minded Tornadoes
is expected to bury the Spartans when they meet. However, should the Spartans
artillery of Royal Ferguson and Garfield Johnson come to fight, they too could
also upset the now vulnerable Trelawny team. By Khurt Comrie for WBA Media
