Unbeaten Unique Ballers rolls to 4th straight win Although
losing the first term 4-2, the defending champions,
Unique Ballers remained resolute and were able to ward
off a potent Lady Avalanche attack to tie the game 12-12
at halftime.
Refocused, the Ballers went all out to create distance
in score column in the third, they successfully denied
Lady Avalanche alot of scoring opportunities and held on
to a 10-point lead at the end of the third term (38-28).
Despite the lead, Ballers never seemed comfortable as
Lady Avalanche unleashed a barrage of attacks (12-7) at
them in the final term but this was not enough to
overtake the champions who held on to a 35-30 win. Dell Ballers'
Zandria Dell marshaled her team with a defiant 18
points along with 2 assists and three steals. Deszan
McLaren supported with 8 points, 5 rebounds, four
steals and a block-shot.
Although being the league leader for the most
double-doubles (her third), LadonnaLamonth's
13 points and 15 rebounds was not enough to propel the
Lady Avs. Also posting a double-double was Nicole
Dias with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She also had
one blocked shot.
