Cedarville advances to conference championship game
Cedarville, OH (3-1-2008)
– NAIA Division II No. 18 Cedarville University knocked
out Ohio Dominican University, 81-67, in the American
Mideast Conference (AMC) Tournament semifinals last
night to advance championship game tonight where they
will face #1 seed Malone. The winner receives an
automatic berth to the NAIA Division II National
Tournament. The Jamaican trio of Ricardo Alliman,
Daniel Rose, and Christopher
Walker combined for 18 points and 16 rebounds
for Cedarville who are 21-7 overall.
Tulsa
routs Marshall
as Jordan breaks blocked shots record
Tulsa,
OK (3-1-2008) – Sophomore center
Jerome Jordan blocked seven shots, bringing
his total to 92 this season, surpassing the school
record formerly held by Michael Ruffin and Kevin
Johnson as Tulsa routed
Marshall
University 89-64 over the
weekend in a Conference USA encounter.
Jordan was also perfect
from the field, going 4-of-4, and also pulled down eight
rebounds.
McFarlane named to All-AMC North Division Team
Notre Dame, OH (3-1-2008)
– Sophomore center Karim McFarlane was
named to the All- American Mideast Conference (AMC)
North Division team. McFarlane, who averaged 12.4 points
and 8.3 rebounds during the season, helped lead NDC to
its first-ever Division Championship before bowing out
in the qualifying tournament last week.
