Become a Volunteer
Basketball in Western Jamaica simply
could not survive if it was not for the dedication of
the hard-working yet few volunteers. This may involve
activities such as coaching teams, officiating in games
or playing some administrative role within the
association, club or team.
There are many ways you too can become a volunteer in
our sport.
All you have to do is contact the WBA Office and express
your interest in becoming a volunteer. Contact details
can be found under Contact Us in the Western Basketball
front page section of the web.
Why not even contact a local Club/Team. Check out the
Club section in the Tournament section and contact a
club directly.
Such tireless devotion and commitment does not go
un-noticed by Western Basketball Association and
starting next season a Volunteer of the Year Award will
be presented to honor one volunteer who stands out in
terms of work, time and energy voluntarily given by them
to basketball.
You could be that person, so why not become a volunteer
and be part of this growing sport.
