ANGELS TOO STRONG FOR STING

In the second game of the evening Angels cruised to an emphatic and historic 85-6 milestone victory over a hapless Sting (Anchovy) team at the same. Angels jumped out of the gates and showed why they are being touted as contenders in the Female Basketball League. Angels' had four girls in double digits. Ladonna Lamonth with 20 points, Donesha Love with 17, Brigett Brown 16 points and Cameal Brown 10 whilst Andene Warren top scored for Sting with 5 points.

Angels scored freely, amassing 66 points all in the first three stanzas as Sting struggled to get their defense into gear. After going scoreless in the first stanza, Sting finally managed to score four points during the second, while allowing Angels to score 22 before the half-time whistle. The score ended 44-4. Sting worked hard to bridge the gap throughout the third term but Wednesday night was just not their night as terrific defensive pressure from Angels tightened the screws at both ends of the floor and moved the score to 66-6.
In the fourth, Sting gave up the impossible task of trying to salvage a win much less their pride, while the "halo" girls continued their onslaught and pushed the lead out to the final score of 85-6.
